Easterfield Primary takes first class photograph

Pupils at Easterfield Primary School near Turriff were on hand to watch Primary Two pupil Beth Cooper (aged 6) accept a digital camera for the prize winning entry in Aberdeen’s Macaulay Land Use Research Institute’s Moments in Time competition. Beth was presented with the camera by Chief Executive of the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute, Professor Richard Aspinall, during a visit to the school on 2nd September. The school also received a trip to Aberdeen’s Satrosphere Science Centre as part of the prize.

Participants of the competition were challenged to capture a view of their town, city or the countryside on camera which demonstrates how people in the north east live and work in the early 21st century.

Easterfield Primary School’s winning photograph of a local post box, along with eleven others is featured in the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute’s 2010 calendar. If you wish to receive a free copy of 2010 calendar please contact Jenna Gray
