The Macaulay Institute has made the final shortlist for the Best External Newsletter in the Communicators in Business (CiB) Awards Scotland 2007 final. Judged by a panel of respected and leading industry figures, The Macaulay Institute has been recognised and appraised for its newsletter, in-land, and has received a certificate of excellence for its success. The prestigious awards take place at a black tie event on February 1 2008 in, Glasgow, where category award winners will be announced.
The Aberdeen based Institute will be competing alongside some of the UK’s top names in business communication. The prominent organisations also shortlisted for awards over a total of 16 categories include the Royal Bank of Scotland, Scottish Water, NHS, Scottish Widows, TOTAL, Scottish & Newcastle Brewers, Standard Life, Scottish Enterprise and HBOS.

Now onto its fourth issue in-land was launched in spring 2006. Targeted at people with an interest in how we use the land – be it farming, forestry,, conservation, recreation, tourism or renewable energy – the newsletter covers the latest on the important challenges being tackled by the Institute for the benefit of both people and the environment. It includes details of recent projects, activities and achievements involving the Institute and the forthcoming issue features the visit of crime author Ian Rankin to the Institute’s recent soil forensic conference.
